Chaga Mushroom

I want to tell you all about an amazing herbal product I have discovered! I am totally amazed and impressed with the testimonials pouring in for both animals and people for the Chaga Mushroom extract!  Check this out:

Wildcrafted Siberian Chaga Mushroom Extract is known to cure Arthritis, Cancer, Acid Reflux, Allergies, Vericose Veins, Carpal Tunnel, Kidney failure and more.  Chaga raises the bar in the arena of life-enhancing, anti-aging, anti-oxident, superfood, herbal, health and medicinal products.

Touted for centuries throughout Asia as "The King of Herbs", "A Gift from God," and "The Mushroom of Immortality", Chaga is now available in its purest and rarest form, for the first time, in a powerful aqueous extract manufactured exclusively for Chaga International.

Chaga's applications are diverse, including building up the immune system; combating respiratory ailments caused by viruses and bacteria; detoxifying the liver, kidney and spleen; stimulating the central nervous system; improving skin color and elasticity and restoring youthful looks. Today, in Japan,

Chaga has become very popular among women as a remedy for pigment spots and wrinkles, thanks to new Japanese scientist, fundamental research on the birch-tree-fungus, Chaga.

Siberian Chaga is considered by many medical researches as one of nature's perfect medicinal herbs. For the past 44 years, modern scientific studies and clinical trials involving Chaga-based products have demonstrated efficacy on hormonal, immune, oncological, aging, endocrine, digestive, and central nervous system disorders.

Chaga, is a polypore fungus (Polyporaceae or Gym enochaetaceae family), which grows on birch trees.

Chaga contains an extraordinary amount of phyto-nutrients such as beta glucans, (a unique family of sugars called polysaccharides), special chemicals such as betulinic acid, (which shows promise for certain types of cancer), special pigments including melanins, antiviral compounds, amino acids and nucleosides.

CHAGA TESTIMONIALS:

 Monday, June 09, 2008

I was on my death bed until a friend gave me a bottle of chaga. You see my story was myself and a few friends drank water from a contaminated stream and everyone died except me. The doctor gave me a little time to live and I had tumors inside me and I had a terrible cancer of intestinal disease. I was so sick and life felt as though it was over for me. I am so thankful and I thank God that I am here telling this story after 3 bottles now I am back to work out of bed, feeling great and putting on weight again !

Its day to day but life is doing wonderful, and I believe its all because of that little miracle in a bottle

-------------------------------------------

Dear Chaga International:

My name is Rose Simms.  I am 55 years old, and live in Indiana.  I was diagnosed with leukemia in 1972.  Over the years of battling this type of cancer my health begin to deteriorate at a fast pace.  I was also diagnosed with a whole list of other aliments including asthma emphysema, which had me on a breathing machine practically every day, epilepsy which caused me to have seizures, miniature strokes, and internal bleeding which caused me to have high blood pressure as well.  I also have C.O.P.D, which is a lung disease that also required me to be on a breathing machine.

I was taking 22 pills everyday for my aliments.  A lot of them were experimental anti-cancer drugs.  Some of these drugs had me disoriented, hallucinating, having hot and cold flashes, and brought a feeling of depression into my life.  I also went through chemotherapy and many laser treatments, which left me with no energy and bed ridden.  I was in and out of nursing homes from time to time as well.

In March of 2007, my life turned for the worse when my physician told me that I was going to need a liver transplant in order to survive, and there was a 60 to 40 percent chance I would not even survive the surgery.  At that time in my life I had given up, and was preparing myself to die.  I felt like I had two feet in the grave.

In May of 2007, my nephew Glen Matheny had introduced me to Chaga, and asked me to try it.  At first I was a bit skeptical, but had run out of all options.  In just the first week I began to notice a change.  I was feeling more energetic.  My appetite started to come back.  I began to take it regularly everyday.  Four months after taking Chaga I went to see my doctor to have the usual tests done.  When he came back with the results he was looking at me with an astonishing look on his face.  He said that my blood levels were fine, my cholesterol levels were fine, and even said my cancer had slowed down in my body.  My liver was still pretty damaged, but the deterioration and internal bleeding had stopped. ]

I have been on Chaga for over a year now.  My cancer is now in remission.  I went from taking 22 pills a day to now only taking 7 pills a day.  I am no longer on a breathing machine.  The symptoms from my epilepsy I don't have anymore, but most of all my liver has stopped deteriorating and even repaired itself.  I don't even need a liver transplant anymore - two months ago I was taken of the donor's list.

I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to Chaga International for giving me my life back.

Thank you very much.

Rose Simms
Indianapolis, Indiana

P. S. To all the nonbelievers out there come and see me I have the medical documents to prove it.

Dear friends,

My friend just talked to Nancy from Denver.   Nancy has struggled with horrible blood cancer and had been on chemo for three years and been told to stay on it the rest of her life. It totally immobalized her to where she could not even write. After discovering Chaga - a Siberian mushroom-herb, the most powerful mushroom on earth she is now 100% cancer free under the watchful eye of her oncologist and he is now backing this herb 100% after her amazing recovery.

Here are the testimonies my friend has related to me that he has experienced. Keep in mind that Chaga was in use for about 1.5 years before they brought it to the market place two months ago.

Close family related friend who has been HIV for 5 years has undergone a controlled treatment with Chaga and the results have been amazing and they are waiting to announce in October after his final tests that he is HIV negative and clear of the virus. Stay tuned.

Acid reflux healed in 24-48 hours in everyone he knew who took Chaga that had it.

16 year old lifetime sufferer of severe Psoraisis, free and clear after 4 months.

Narcolepsy sufferer no longer suffering from it just after 3 days.

Carpal Tunnel gone in 90 days.

raised scarring gone

His mother who suffered regualrly from Melanoma's, after 6 months is clear from any re-occuring and has been for 1.5 years

Vericose Veins returned to normal.

Kidney failure recovering from 15% use to 22% use and no longer needs the tedious treatments.

Arthritis reversed - 70  year old womans clubbed hand now able to knit again. Because it is an inflamation this can be easily dealt with.

100's and 100's of same type testimonies calling in......

Rich has a friend  (Tom Jones)  who completely recovered from re-occuring bladder cancer, he used Chaga starting in January and was cancer free by February. Chaga was taken by this man under the knowlege of his Doctor who now referrs his patients to him for Chaga.

Alll types of inflamation responding....

High Blood Sugar from 486 with no hope from drugs to bring it down  now at 96 after 90 days on Chaga

Chaga helping to balance the body, purify the blood and the body does the healing!

Many health care professionals now privately doing patient research on many diseases across the board with Chaga.

Read all about Chaga to find out WHY this all is happening.

There have been more than a hundred species of medicinal mushrooms found to inhibit the growth of different kinds of tumors, especially cancers of the stomach, esophagus, and lungs. But chaga seems to stand out from the rest. This is a mushroom that commonly grows in northern regions on birch, alder and beech trees. However for medicinal purposes only birch chaga can be used. Because of its close association with birch trees, it is often referred to as the "Birch mushroom". Unlike most mushrooms, chaga is a polypore, a fungus with pores instead of gills. It has the appearance of a black, irregular, cracked mass, grows on tree trunks and is most often sterile. It is not cultivated but wild-crafted. Chaga is a fungal parasite which draws its nutrients out of living trees, rather than from the ground. Fungi digest food outside their bodies by releasing enzymes into the surrounding environment, breaking down organic matter into a form the fungus can then absorb. A look at the research on chaga shows a similar pattern with respect to its effect on tumors.Scientific research regarding the effects of chaga have centered around its common folk uses.

Background Notes and Key Information on Chaga.

The publications of several key clinical and scientific papers in 2000 and 2002 with regards to the role of "Antioxidents" and "Medicinal Mushrooms"and focusing on Inonotus obliquus better known as "Siberian Chaga Mushroom" and its role in curtailing of Oncological Expressions, Cancer Cell reproduction and as a natural defense for multiple other maladies created a worldwide renewed interest in this rare and highly priced "King of the Herbs". The worldwide "Natural and Alternative Medicine" movement today, has re-discovered and embraced Siberian Chaga for its medicinal qualities. As a result, Siberian Chaga is the most highly prized of all medicinal mushrooms commanding as much as twelve (12) times the value of other medicinal mushrooms and used today as the base natural product in over fourty six (46) oncological pharmaceutical medications and compounds. For the past fourty (40) years 1,600 modern scientific studies have demonstrated and proven the pharmacological effects for the immune, hormonal and central nervous system. Siberian Chaga is neither a plant or animal yet its DNA make up is thirty (30%) per cent closer to humans than plants.

Classified scientifically as: Basidiomycetes mushrooms to which there are approximately 200 species have demonstrated medicinal values. Siberian Chaga is far and above any other Basidiomycetes. Siberian Chaga contains the highest value ever recorded in the ORAC Scale and is over 40,000 times more potent in antioxidants than the closest natural product in foods or essential oils.

Short description of Siberian Chaga properties

- Contains 215 phytonutrients including 29 polysaccharide or beta glucan derivatives;

- Siberian Chaga, unlike the other medicinal mushrooms has an exceptional amount of Betulinic acid and SOD (Super Oxide Dismutase) content. SOD is an extremely potent
antioxidant enzyme that fights cellular damage from reactive singlet oxygen molecules, also known as free radicals. Research suggests that SOD may be the most important enzyme in our body for the control of free radicals, keeping our cell membranes young, supple, and healthy. SOD is one of the most important anti oxidants in our body. Chaga has far more SOD than Vitamins C, E and foods like barley grass, seaweed prunes, fish oils, many aromatherapy essential oils.

Our company offers only superior chaga mushroom harvested in the Northern regions of Russian Western Siberia and Far East - the perfect place for superior chaga to grow. Only chaga gathered within these regions has miraculous healing properties according to the analysis and researches made by Russian-Japanese experts.

Preparations from chaga can be applied as an active biogenic stimulators, which increase protective forces of human body, stimulate the central nervous and neurohumoral (they increase the activity of estrogens) systems of organism, improve metabolism including activation of metabolism in cerebral tissue, restore activity of the stagnation fermentation systems, regulate the activity of cardiovascular and respiratory systems, stimulate the homogeny (increase the level of leukocytes), act as the over-all strengthening means, increase the resistibility of organism to the infectious diseases, possess antipyretic properties during the internal and local application, strengthen the cytostatic activity of antitumorigenic preparations, detains increase of tumors, causes their gradual regression and slows down the development of metastases, i.e. they themselves possess cytostatic action. In this case the health of patients considerably improves, their fitness for work is restored and general tone rises.Chaga restores the resistibility of the organism and increases its protecting mechanisms directed towards the fight with the malignant tumors.

Furthermore, the preparations of chaga possess spasmolitic, diuretic, antimicrobic, reparative properties, they normalize the activity of gastrointestinal tract and intestinal microflora, they contribute to the cicatrisation of stomach ulcers and duodenum, manifest the expressed gastro protective properties. The beverage made of the fungus reduces arterial and venous pressure, decreases the frequency of pulse. A maximum decrease in glucose level in the blood serum was observed in 1,5-3 hours after the beverage has been taken. The level of sugar in this case was reduced by 15,8-29,9%.The external use of chaga manifests the antipyretic, healing and anaesthetizing action, protects the skin from harmful effect of the environment and virus infections, it removes edemas and contributes to restoration of the healthy state of skin.

Dear Chaga International:

Bubba is our 6 lb. Miniature Pincher, he has an incredible Chaga story that I wanted to share.

Bubba’s story starts in August of 2007 when he was 8 months old and one night while sleeping he had a full blown seizure.  It was a terrible experience and gave us quite a scare.  The next day I took him to his veterinarian, who was very puzzled to see this happen to a puppy.  He drew blood for testing and advised me that if he had another one within 4 weeks he would prescribe the drug Phenobarbital.  Sure enough he had another on within that time frame.  At his second visit I expressed that I did not want to put him on the drug and wanted to find something natural that will help my puppy.  He gave me his blessing to locate a holistic veterinarian.  I made an appointment with one and had his blood results sent to her.  Meanwhile during this time my family and I had just started to take Chaga and I was learning about its power.  ]

The holistic doctor examined Bubba and reviewed the results for the blood testing which indicated he had a problem with his kidneys.  She also asked me a lot of questions.  Then she explained the 5 elements in Chinese Medicine; kidney problems fall under the water element and seizures under the wood element.  She suggested that we give him 2 herbs and switch his food to a holistic brand.  One herb to balance his water and one to stop the seizures – I think the second one was really for my benefit.  Sure enough the herbs did stop the seizures and Bubba was doing fine.  A few months later I got a letter from the holistic veterinarian telling me that she was moving out of the area so I got one more round of herbs for Bubba.  By this time, I truly knew the power of Chaga and that it too would balance Bubba’s body just like his herbs.  I slowly weaned him off both of the pills and on to 4 drops of Chaga each day.

To this day Bubba has had no more seizures!  When I took him to his original veterinarian for his annual checkup he told me more than once how good he looked, how shiny his coat is, and that he was pleased he is doing so well.  I am happy to tell you that Bubba and our whole family are healthy and feel that our bodies are in greater balance.

Thank you Chaga!

This is my sponsor in Chaga International Nancy Saporta, wife of Greg who is a coach with the Denver Broncos,  cured of cancer as her oncologist watched on and now supports Chaga and has the brochures in his cancer practice office. Here is her story.

Dear Chaga:
My name is Nancy Saporta. I have been through some rough times and in many different ways. A few I can share and others that relate to personal stress would make anyone think I would be writing a drama movie.

My brother Mike and I were both diagnosed with cancer in 2004 after we had buried my sister, Ann, who had died from cancer, next to my brother, Bill, who died from a sudden heart attack in 2000 at the age of 49. We could not keep our minds from wondering why.

In 2006, Mike died and I felt so alone. My father had also died from cancer at the age of 49. My Mother, a cancer survivor, will be 84 this year. The stress of my family health history and concern for my own health has been overwhelming.

I was on chemo for blood cancer daily for 3 1/2 years. The damage to my body is extensive from my brain function to just simply eating different foods. Last year I was so sick I was on a walker and could not speak correctly. I don’t remember things that happened, as well as many conversations with friends.

I have always been open to health products and never thought anything was really going to help me because it appeared to be a dooms day scenario for me. My husband is the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Denver Broncos, a very good job, so we researched, bought every supplement, and tried them ALL.

Maybe it was a mental attitude that I wanted to be healthy that I grabbed onto the hope. I knew there was something out there that could help me. Some things helped a little but it was not until I heard about Chaga that I felt I had found something really special.

Many people I know did not expect me to even be alive when I called Steve Gould to find out more about Chaga. I was amazed to learn about Chaga’s history of helping others and the vision of the company. I began taking Chaga in December of last year, and in just 3 months I noticed a real difference.

My friends that know how sick I was can see how much I have improved. My friend, Beverly, said we spoke last year when I was really sick and I have no memory of speaking to her and many others. Another friend, Lois, saw me in my previous condition and has seen my improvement and has embraced Chaga’s mission to help others. I now feel better than I can remember and have energy.

I saw the oncologist in February 2008 for my blood work. It has been about 3 months since my last visit and my husband Greg and I were getting the message from the doctor to expect to be back on chemo. I was not looking forward to that.

I received the blood results back and they are normal – no need for more chemo! Thank you Chaga!

Chaga is the only thing I have been doing different since December.

Three months and our primary doctor and our oncologist both gave us good reports. I know it is not my mental attitude of “I hope I am better”, it’s two blood reports showing the facts!

I love that I believed there was a natural product that would help me and I found everything I ever dreamed about at Chaga International. One of the best things about Chaga is the people I am surrounded by who are dedicated to the Chaga mission. I feel I am back into a life and with a purpose.

I want to give people hope and am not saying Chaga cured anything but put my body in balance so it could cure itself. Now I can say giddy up to life with a smile on my face.

Thank you Chaga International for sharing hope and life.
Sincerely,
Nancy Saporta

These testimonials were submitted by our Members and Customers and are based on their personal experiences while using our Chaga extract as a nutritional supplement and these may not be common results. Chaga International does not make any medical or curative claims with our product, however we do believe in the concept that when a body is in energy balance, with a healthy immune system, it has amazing God-given healing powers.

The following article was published by the NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information) a joint venture by the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health.
Established in 1988 as a national resource for molecular biology information, NCBI creates public databases, conducts research in computational biology, develops software tools for analyzing genome data, and disseminates biomedical information - all for the better understanding of molecular processes affecting human health and disease. Chaga mushroom extract inhibits oxidative DNA damage in human lymphocytes as assessed by comet assay. The Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) is claimed to have beneficial properties for human health, such as anti-bacterial, anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. The antioxidant effects of the mushroom may be partly explained by protection of cell components against free radicals. We evaluated the effect of aqueous Chaga mushroom extracts for their potential for protecting against oxidative damage to DNA in human lymphocytes. Cells were pretreated with various concentrations (10, 50, 100 and 500 microg/mL) of the extract for 1 h at 37 degrees C. Cells were then treated with 100 microM of H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide) for 5 min as an oxidative stress. Evaluation of oxidative damage was performed using single-cell gel electrophoresis for DNA fragmentation (Comet assay). Using image analysis, the degree of DNA damage was evaluated as the DNA tail moment.Cells pretreated with Chaga extract showed over 40% reduction in DNA fragmentation compared with the positive control (100 micromol H2O2 treatment). Thus, Chaga mushroom treatment affords cellular protection against endogenous DNA damage.

Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) induces G0/G1 arrest and apoptosis in human hepatoma HepG2 cells.

Vestibulocochlear Research Center, Wonkwang University School of Medicine, #344-2, Shinyoung-dong, Iksan, Jeonbuk 570-749, Korea.

AIM: To investigate the anti-proliferative and apoptotic effects of Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) water extract on human hepatoma cell lines, HepG2 and Hep3B cells. METHODS: The cytotoxicity of Chaga extract was screened by 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. Morphological observation, flow cytometry analysis, Western blot were employed to elucidate the cytotoxic mechanism of Chaga extract.

RESULTS: HepG2 cells were more sensitive to Chaga extract than Hep3B cells, as demonstrated by markedly reduced cell viability. Chaga extract inhibited the cell growth in a dose-dependent manner, which was accompanied with G0/G1-phase arrest and apoptotic cell death. In addition, G0/G1 arrest in the cell cycle was closely associated with down-regulation of p53, pRb, p27, cyclins D1, D2, E, cyclin-dependent kinase (Cdk) 2, Cdk4, and Cdk6 expression.

CONCLUSION: Chaga mushroom may provide a new therapeutic option, as a potential anticancer agent, in the treatment of hepatoma.

I always love when a product works for both people AND animals.  For me that is a true sign of it's healing abilities as animals do not have "beliefs" about certain things working or not working.  Here are some pet testimonials I'd like to share with you regarding Chaga Mushroom Extract:

Dear Chaga International:
Hello, my name is Tara Weekman and I am a member of the Chaga family (thankfully). I have a 13-year old chocolate lab named Puddin. Recently I noticed her limping so I took her to the vet. When an x-ray was done I had 2 vets tell me it looked like bone cancer, the lungs looked pre-cancerous and that if I didn’t want to go with amputation and chemo, all I could do was pain control and at some point, euthanasia....not very hopeful. I had already had my dogs on Chaga for a little while (as well as my brother and myself) but I decided to increase the number of drops, after all at this point what could it hurt? After 2 weeks of 10-12 drops twice a day, I had follow up x-rays taken 2 weeks ago. The vet now saw that there had been no further damage to the area, and he did not see the pre-cancerous lung condition that had been previously seen. This was the first time I actually had any hope! I told the vet about Chaga and he went to the website, and is going to do more research into the product. He also put her on an antibiotic in case there was any infection in the area. I went back to him last night (Thursday) and he found the swelling to be decreased, no further damage, and reduced the anti-biotic. He did a complete CBC (blood test) and he came back very pleased and said actually for an older dog her blood work is excellent! He sees no pre-cancerous condition to the lungs. I truly believe that Chaga has given me more time with one of my best friends. I don’t have to see her suffer with cancer or any of the horrible treatments that were the alternative. If this is not a true gift from God, I don’t know what is. Thank you, Tara Weekman

Dear Chaga,
My name is Zoe Saporta. I am a 16-year old happy little girl but started getting that tired run down feeling and my eyes started getting bad. My skin was dry and itchy.
My Mom and Dad started giving me a few drops of Chaga in December and after a few weeks, I gained more
Energy, and my Mom thinks my eyes are better. I know I feel better because I love to dance and play. I love my tummy to be rubbed and with my healthy skin that is no longer dry and itchy. I wanted to say arf arf – in puppy that is Thank you Chaga!
Zoe

Dear Chaga:
I started taking your product early in January 2008. My dog Oreo, who is almost 14 years old, had been getting me up for at least 3 months, several times a night to be let out. I figured he had 'old man gotta pee' syndrome and stumbled down the stairs nightly and waited by the cold door for him to come back in. Needless to say, I was sick and tired of being awakened rudely 2-4x/night for this routine!
I decided my sleep was very precious and wondered if a few drops of Chaga in the a.m. and before bed would help my old man! What a miracle--within weeks, Oreo was sleeping through the night...and me too as a result! Thank you for improving woman-canine relations in this household!

[font=Arial family="SANSSERIF"]My dog was pawing her right eye often and also rubbing it into the carpet. After close examination there seemed to be no outward problem. I began dropping Chaga into her right eye and there was immediate improvement. I kept flushing the eye 2-3 times a day for 2 days and it seems all is well at this point.

My friends dog Viva was going through kidney failure and no will to eat. I took my first bottle of Chaga over right away. My friend was leaving on a cruise in two days and was concerned about the condition of her dog and leaving the dog behind. By the time she left the dog showed enough improvement that her spirits were lifted enough to go on the cruise comfortably. When she returned home Viva was feeling even better and choosing to eat on her own. The doctor said the conditon had gone from terminal to chronic with the improvements he saw.

Dear Chaga,

Want to share the God given healing propensities of Chaga, an all natural food which is also incredibly therapeutic, actually medicinal! Who was it who said "let your food be your medicine?"....well then put Chaga in the front of your food cupboard!

Annie is my beloved 13 year old Fox Terrier. She came to me during the lowest time of my adult life, and has been such a blessing, a best friend, such a positive, loving presence in my life each day, and saw me through a deep depression. Well, 2 3/4 years ago at age 10 Annie out of the blue seemed somewhat confused one day, and then was quite sick to her stomach. Had her checked, the stomach issue resolved, and the confusion abated, she had uncontrolled urination for some days, that ceased. What occurred however is she began having full body tremors, standing and sitting, like Parkinson's victims.

The tremors through the 2 3/4 years did become more pronounced, including now when she would lay down. Still good mental functioning over all. I had blood work and vet evaluations done, ruled out all logical concerns. All three vets separately came to the same diagnosis and suggestion, not having the reports of the other. They felt Annie should be seen at a University hospital to have an MRI or CAT Scan, that it seemed she could have a "brain lesion" in the cerebellum region of her brain, only way to know would be the screen.

I inquired the cost and the possible use of the screen. The cost of an MRI was even more than some human MRI's I had heard of, over $2,000. If a lesion existed there would be no medicine that was known to eradicate it, and there was no way I am putting Annie through brain surgery. At home I studied all I could do environmentally and nutritionally to support the situation, did start her on herbs that will heal the myelin sheath of the brain, cook fresh meat and vegetables, give her the best foods, flax seed oil, etc. The tremors slightly worsened,  did not improve, but this was considered excellent by the vets.

Then I discovered Chaga two months ago, seeking for self, but in reading knew Annie would go on it from Day One with me! WELL!!! Annie's tremors now are about half of before. Her energy levels are up, she jumps around like a young adult, on and off the couch and has that spark in her eye, the terrier mischief in full operation! I am elated! I fully expect her condition to totally abate and will keep you advised.

I take a very technical approach to nutrition and health. Chaga has incredible natural, therapeutic (healing) properties for potential cancers, attacking the virus present with cancer. It balances and normalized blood sugar, which I have wondered is an issue for Annie. Some now say Parkinson's is like diabetes to the brain. Her symptoms are very to the point of Parkinson's but have not been radically progrerssive, Frankly I believe that is because Annie is prayed over along with good nutrition and low stress. When Chaga got introduced however IMPROVEMENT began! This too is an answer to prayer. God works in the natural as well as the supernatural!

I thank God for you Nancy, for your diligence to bring God's healing message of Chaga, for the testimony of your life and the healing properties of Chaga, and for the community surrounding the product and of course the blessing of Chaga itself! I greatly valued listening to James Osugi who pioneered our Chaga International formula about his  diligence in finding, harvesting, bringing the product without distillation in alcohol, and for the product being affordable! That it was vested to Steve Gould to deliver with this same passion and affordability is a true testiment that this is a God given and blessed product. I believe in this product and company/community with all my heart.

Anyone thinking in terms of healing and "nutritional" properties of Chaga would do well to listen to the recorded and archived recordings of James Osugi and Dr. Karl Maret and get onto autoship right away making this a daily basic for body, spirit, soul health! My energy, balance and focus are so much better, but this is a testimony about Annie!  Thank you for ALL!

Sincerely,

Sandra Koehler

FRUITS VS. HERBS.... THE REAL STORY

Today, many people are recognizing and taking advantage of the nutritional and antioxidant value in natural supplements because they realize the need to help their bodies deal with the effects of premature aging, exposure to harmful free radicals, higher incidence of diseases that attack their bodies, and the stresses of a modern day lifestyle.

In Chinese Medicine the true healers are herbs not fruits. Why has Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) preferred herbs over fruits? Consider these facts:

  • Science supports the fact that fruit-based juices like Mangosteen, Noni, and Acai and Goji berry drinks would have to be taken in substantial quantities to have any significant health benefit; while medicinal herbs can often provide superior benefits in small, easily consumable amounts.

  • There is little documentation to support any specific anti-cancer or anti-viral medical derivatives from fruits. Yet, medicinal mushrooms have been studied for centuries for their medicinal qualities. Pharmaceutical drugs have even been developed from their special makeup of medicinal compounds. You can’t say the same about fruits.

  • Yes, while concentrated fruits may contain higher antioxidants than most foods, they often do not contain the concentration or wide spectrum of antioxidants as do medicinal mushrooms such as Chaga. Most of these fruit-based antioxidant beverages are simply concentrations of fruit juices that may also be found on supermarket shelves, which also have some antioxidant benefits.

Don’t Buy the Hype – Buy the Best for Your Family’s Health!

Research shows many companies that market fruit-based antioxidant beverages tend to over-hype the ORAC values (the most commonly-accepted measure of antioxidant activity) of their product. However, these results relate not to a serving of the actual product, but rather to a specific measurement of concentrated raw ingredients and not the final diluted product that a consumer may purchase.

This is an obvious, significant misrepresentation. Just drops of our Chaga extract contain numerous types of anti-oxidants and contain ORAC scale antioxidant values as well as Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), providing the body with well rounded protection against the effects of premature aging, and exposure to harmful free radicals from the stresses of a modern day lifestyle.

Research also shows that many consumers of these fruit-based antioxidant beverages may need to consume much more than the recommended amount in an attempt to gain real nutritional benefits. This can result in prohibitive cost issues, as well as side effects such as the body’s intolerance to all the concentrated sugars contained in many of these products.

The Convenience Factor

Fruit-based antioxidant drinks require refrigeration to maintain their nutritional value. They are often sold in ruit-based products may contain fairly high concentrations of sugars, which as a supplement may not be haga on the other hand, is provided as a potent extract, with high Bio-availability (absorption by the body), ecause of its ease of use, potency, long shelf life, and its convenience, Chaga is far more appealing and effective as a daily supplement for the entire family.

A Healthy Diet

A healthy diet should be full of fruits and vegetables, which are healthiest served in their raw form. Because ur Wildcrafted Siberian Chaga Extract is manufactured only from “Wildcrafted” (grown in nature) sources and hytonutrients mportant nutritional values found in fruits, vegetables, herbs and other whole foods, are the lthough fruits and berries have valuable phytonutrients, Chaga has approximately 215 different phytonutrient compounds - all in a virtually tasteless, odorless extract.

In today’s world, we are all being exposed to many harmful environmental factors and stress; therefore, supplementing our bodies with potent natural protection is no longer an option, but a necessity. In order to give your body a fighting chance, protect it from the damage caused by free-radicals that are created in your body every minute of every day. Using quality supplements is the smart thing to do. It’s the best form of proactive health protection you can buy.

Chaga International’s Wildcrafted Siberian Chaga Extract is the premier health, anti-aging and life-enhancing supplement available today.

CORRESPONDENCE DIGESTION OF CELL NUCLEI BY ENZYMES

Sir:
In connection with a brief note by E. Gardner, Jr., Claude-Starr Wright, and Bettie Z. Williams,’2 we would like to inform you that the studies on the digestion by the Dna ase and RNA ase of the blood and bone
marrow cells were performed by Prof. J. Aleksandrowicz et al. ( Blicharski, Perkowska, Spirer) in the Ilird Internal Diseases Clinic AM. in Cracow, Poland. The results were published in 1954.2ı4,7

In 1g57, we published the results of study of digestion of blood and bone marrow smears by urine of normal people and of patients with chronic granulocytic leukemia.15

Later it was shown that some other substances such as ACTH,5 cortisone,6 and also substances of vegetable origin (inon.otus obliquus) pass specific digestive properties for some cell nuclei. Recently we isolated a
substance from fungus inonotus obliquus which selectively digests the nuclei of cells of chronic granulocytic leukemia, but does not change normal cells. The difference can also be observed on some blood and bone marrow smear slides. The mechanism of this is not known. It seems that chemical changes
caused by DNA ase are related to the presence of leukemic isomer of desoxyribonucleic acid.

We observed that the blood and bone marrow smears of patients suffering from chronic granulocytic leukemia show beginning of the digestive process in younger parts of the nuclei of some myelocytes.

Other myelocytes and mature leukocytes are not digested. One can presume that the latter cells are non-leukemic and simply pushed from the marrow by the expanding leukemic cell population.

 Chaga's Role in Contemporary Medicine

The publications of several key clinical and scientific papers in 2000 and 2002 with regard to the role of "Antioxidants" and "Medicinal Mushrooms" and focusing on Inonotus obliquus, better know as "Siberian Chaga Mushroom" and its role in curtailing Oncological Expressions, Cancer Cell reproduction and as a natural defense for multiple other maladies created a worldwide renewed interest in this rare and highly priced "King of the Herbs".

The worldwide "Natural and Alternative Medicine" movement today has re-discovered and embraced Siberian Chaga for its medicinal qualities. As a result, Siberian Chaga is the most highly prized of all medicinal mushrooms commanding as much as 12 times the value of other medicinal mushrooms and used today as the base natural product in over 40 oncological pharmaceutical medications and compounds.

Classified scientifically as: Basidiomycetes mushrooms to which there are approximately 200 species have demonstrated medicinal values. Siberian Chaga is far and above any other Basidiomycetes. Siberian Chaga contains the highest value ever recorded in the ORAC Scale and is over a thousand times more potent in antioxidants than the closest natural product in foods or essential oils. (See ORAC Testing)

A Soviet Secret

Since the 1950's, the government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), in conjunction with approximately 1200 prominent scientists, conducted over 3,000 experiments involving over 500,000 people to study the effects of Adaptogens(Chaga). The results of these studies were a protected Soviet Secret for 40 years. The Soviet government commanded athletes, astronauts and other Soviet elite to take Adaptogens on a daily basis to improve physical and mental work capacity.

Chaga Study

Korean J Nutr. 2007 Oct;40(7):601-605. Korean.
Effects of Inonotus Obliqua Extract on Blood Glucose Levels in Genetically Diabetic Mice.
Hong H. Hong H.
Department of Food Service Management and Nutrition, Sangmyung University, Seoul 110-743, Korea.

This study investigated the therapeutic effects of Inonotus obliqua extract on blood glucose, insulin, and other biochemical parameters in genetically diabetic mice (C57BL/KsJ-m+/+Lepr(db)).

The mice were divided into four groups - control, Chaga 1 (dose of 0.09 mg/kg of body weight), Chaga 5 (5 times of Chaga 1), and Chaga 10 (10 times of Chaga 1)- according to supplemented dose.. Inonotus obliqua extract was orally administered to the animals for 6 weeks. The body and organ (liver and kidney) weights were not different among groups. Fasting blood glucose level was significantly lower in the Chaga 5 group compared with the control (p < 0.05). Hemoglobin A1c content was significantly lower in the Chaga 5 group compared with either the control and Chaga 1 group (p < 0.05). There was no significant difference in serum insulin level among groups. The glucose-6-phosphatase activity in liver was significantly the lowest in Chaga 10 group and was significantly lower in Chaga 5 group as compared with those of control and Chaga 1 groups. Therefore, the results of this study demonstrate that Inonotus obliqua extract alleviates many of the symptoms of diabetes in genetically obese mice and may offer a possibility as a therapeutic supplement for the normalization of blood glucose levels in human with hyperglycemia and have beneficial effects in patients with noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.

Chaga Research

The post-antibiotic world of Western Medicine is now beginning to study, evaluate, and test Chaga for the active compounds underlying its historically understood homeopathic benefits. As with many other natural medicinal foods and herbs, the modern medical and scientific community is coming to understand that whole supplements like Chaga, offer a complex balance of active compounds, delivery mineral structures, and co-agents, more effective to sustaining a healthy immune balance than isolated compounds synthesized from these natural products.

The primary active compounds discovered in Siberian Chaga are a variety of triterpenes and sterols, including Lanosterol, Ergosterol Inotodials, Saponins, and Polysaccharides.Modern research is now beginning to demonstrate that these compounds are effective for human maladies treated by folk medicine practitioners with natural products, without toxic side-effect, for millennia.

After being ignored for hundreds of years by western pharmacologists, Chaga is currently enjoying a resurgence as a possible treatment for a wide variety of diseases and health problems, including chronic fatigue syndrome, the flu, stomach problems, and even HIV and certain types of cancer. Recent studies in the U.S., Russia, and other countries have shown Chaga to have anti-tumor benefits related to the mammary glands and female sex organs; studies in Finland have demonstrated that inotodial, one of the most active ingredients in Chaga, was effective against influenza virus and various cancer cells; and Japanese research not only found similar antiviral activity, but also discovered that Chaga shows activity against HIV (protease inhibition).

Chaga has even been classified as a medicinal mushroom under World Trade Organization (WTO) codes. Arguably, the most well known western research conducted on the use of Chaga has been performed by Dr. Kirsti Kahlos and her team at School of Pharmacology, at the University of Helsinki, Finland. Dr. Kahlos’ team conducted studies validating the immuno-modulating impact of Lanosterol-linked triterpenes effective as a flu-vaccination and for anti-tumor applications. Institutional studies at the University of Tokyo, Japan have determined effectiveness of Inotodials in the destruction of certain carcinosarcomas and mammary adenocarcinomas.

The Melanin complex produced by the Chaga mushroom demonstrates high antioxidant and genoprotective effects ( Melanin Complex from Medicinal Mushroom Inonotus Obliquus, Journal of Medical Mushrooms, 2002, vol. 4) . The polysaccharide beta-glucan, also present in Chaga, is proven to be effective at inhibiting mutagenic and immuno-modulating effects of cancerous tumors by triggering immune system response (SP Wasser, 2002, Institute of Evolution, University of Haifa, Israel). In 1998 there was a study in Poland that demonstrated Chaga's inhibiting effects on tumor growth.[1] Noda et. al found that betulin seems to work highly selectively on tumor cells because the interior pH of tumor tissues is generally lower than that of normal tissues, and betulinic acid is only active at those lower levels.Fulda et al. found in 1997 that once inside the cells, betulinic acid induces apoptosis (programmed cell death) in the tumors.[2] In 2005 there was a study done at Department of Medical Nutrition in South Korea.

The Chaga Mushroom was evaluated for their potential for protecting against oxidative damage to DNA in human lymphocytes. The study found that the polyphenolic extract protected these cells against hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative stress.[3] Another study that year found the endo-polysaccharide of Chaga produced indirect anti-cancer effects via immuno-stimulation.The mycelial endo-polysaccharide of Inonotus Obliquus was identified as a candidate for use as an immune response modifier and indicates that the anti-cancer effect of endo-polysaccharide is not directly tumorcidal but rather is immuno-stimulating.[4][5] It has also been demonstrated as anti-inflammatory.[6] Saitoh Akiko published on the antimutagenic effects of Chaga in 1996, and Mizuno et al. published on the anti tumor and hypoglycemic activities of the polysaccharides from the sclerotia and mycelia of Chaga.

Therapeutic effects of substances occurring in higher Basidiomycetes
mushrooms: a modern perspective.

Wasser SP & Weis AL. 1999. Crit Rev Immunol. 1999;19(1):65-96.
International Centre for Cryptogamic Plants and Fungi, Institute of Evolution, University
of Haifa, Israel.

This review highlights some of the recently isolated and identified substances of higher Basidiomycetes
mushrooms origin that express promising antitumor, immune modulating, cardiovascular and
hypercholesterolemia, antiviral, antibacterial, and antiparasitic effects. Medicinal mushrooms have a
long history of use in folk medicine. In particular, mushrooms useful against cancers of the stomach,
esophagus, lungs, etc. are known in China, Russia, Japan, Korea, as well as the U.S.A. and Canada.

There are about 200 species of mushrooms that have been found to markedly inhibit the growth of
different kinds of tumors. Searching for new antitumor and other medicinal substances from mushrooms
and to study the medicinal value of these mushrooms have become a matter of great significance.
However, most of the mushroom origin antitumor substances have not been clearly defined. Several
antitumor polysaccharides such as hetero-beta-glucans and their protein complexes (e.g., xyloglucans
and acidic beta-glucan-containing uronic acid), as well as dietary fibers, lectins, and terpenoids have
been isolated from medicinal mushrooms.

In Japan, Russia, China, and the U.S.A. several different polysaccharide antitumor agents have been developed from the fruiting body, mycelia, and culture medium of various medicinal mushrooms (Lentinus edodes, Ganoderma lucidum, Schizophyllum commune, Trametes versicolor, Inonotus obliquus, and Flammulina velutipes).

Both cellular components and secondary metabolites of a large number of mushrooms have been shown to effect the immune system of the host and therefore could be used to treat a variety of disease states.

This post is a complete document that can be used for those wanting documentation of what is going on with offical medical/research analysis etc. around the world and in the USA concerning Chaga which backs up the dramatic results people are having. (Including the Women and Cancer Fund endorsement.)

The last section of this email includes 340 Research Papers

1. In 1960, the U.S. National Cancer Institute noted a report that a decoction of Chaga had been used successfully to treat cancer in Australia. Well known for stimulating the immune system, Chaga was approved for public use against cancer by the Medical Academy of Science in Moscow in 1955.

2. John Pezzuto of the University of Chicago is quoted as "the activity of the Betulinic acid is one of the most promising discoveries amongst 2500 plant extracts studied." The Betulinic acid contained in Chaga covers the full spectrum of immune stimulating effects found in similar medicinal mushrooms such as Maitake and Shiitake mushrooms.

3. Russian and Japanese medical professionals both contend Chaga is many times more effective than Ganoderma Lucidum or Phellinus Linteus. The International Agriculture Development Institute in Korea confirms such claims.

4. The Japanese Cancer Society claims Chaga plays an important role in combating cancer and it jointly used with pharmacology drugs and chemotherapy diminishes their side effects.

5. "It is a fact that Chaga, placed into a birch bark casket, acquires more expressed therapeutic properties. Bioactive substances of the white part of birch bark having triterpenic bonds - betulin, lupeol, betulinic acid, etc. - possess anti-cancerous activity, causing apoptosis (programmed cell death) of cancerous cells and this is transfered to Chaga, thus strengthening its properties..", says Galina Mikhaylovna Fedoseeva the Chairman of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Botany of Irkutsk State Medical University, professor, Doctor of the pharmaceutical sciences.

6. Numerous studies also indicate a 50% reduction in glycemic peaks are achieved due to the Beta Glucan effects on blood sugar levels. There are over 1000 research papers on Beta Glucan activity including studies from Harvard Medical School, National Cancer Institute, the Department of Agriculture and others. These studies prove Beta Glucan are external immunomodulators to keep one's immune system in a highly prepared state.

We will be using Chaga in major studies outside of the United States as well as in the
clinics we are presently developing in the Indian Reservations of the USA. As you know,
Indian reservations have their own governmental jurisdiction. Our first Life Center will
be located in the Salt River-Pima Indian Reservation (Scottsdale, AZ.) We are not only
looking at Chaga but other protocols that can quickly affect diabetic patients. We
recommend Chaga as a disease prevention and immune system enhancer at the moment.
The studies will go deeper into each particular disease.

We have done preliminary small studies with the product you donated to our charity.
Chaga is indeed an outstanding product. We will start a study in Brazil in the spring and
we expect to start a second study in Argentina shortly after. The size and length of the
studies will be determined by the availability of funds.

I am looking forward to working with you and creating a venture that will greatly benefit
all concerned.

Cordially yours,
Dr. Alicia Alvarez

Dear Sonja,

I hope your ears are burning!  I thank you every day for finding Chaga!  My pain level dropped dramatically after the third day of taking this miraculous herb.  Ted has probably already told you how good I feel.  I am doing things that I thought I'd never be able to do again.  It was really put to the test with Hanna arriving in our area yesterday afternoon. We were on our way to Ted's niece's wedding which was held outdoors.  Not only was I able to walk in the rain, I was able to spend quite a bit of time on the dance floor!!  I was able to dance pain free, with the only drawback being a swollen foot and ankle.  I took my evening dose of Chaga when we got home and put a cold pack on my ankle for a short time before going to bed.  When I got up this morning all the swelling was gone!! In the past I would have suffered for days for putting my body through that type of abuse.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you - You're an ANGEL!

Love Ya - Kathy
