After writing my first book, "Becoming God" I started to gain an interest in Zen Buddhism. Although I am against any kind of Dogmatic structure to higher consciousness (just as Buddha was when he laughed at his disciples for writing his teachings down) I found the idea of ZEN to be 100% on target with the meaning of life.
In all of my study, I can tell you with confidence now that ZEN is really quite simple. ZEN is the Understanding and Awareness of your reality as it is right "NOW". "Now" for everyone is a beautiful and happy place. The truth is, unless you are on fire, "Now" is the happiest place in the world once you see it for what it is. If you are presently on fire, "now" might not be too pleasant but rest assure, Nirvana will soon come to the rescue.
The other part of the apprehension of ZEN is in the recognition of your waking thoughts just as in meditation. Understand that your reality is a reflection of your thoughts and how you feel about those thoughts. Understanding this and more importantly truly believing this, will give you a completely different view of the world. You will recognize yourself as the creator and you can then ponder over why the world around you is as it seems. You can ask yourself, why you would I manifest certain ideas into existence? You can then understand that if you don't like the world around you, change it from within.
Upon recognizing these thoughts you will soon realize that life itself is a beautiful ballet between finding Self-Worth (loving yourself, receiving) and Appreciation (gratitude for the experience, giving). It is when we are not in balance with this understanding that the world in front of our eyes seemingly becomes unpleasant. It isn't, because "now" is always a beautiful place. Within that apprehension, you will regain your balance.
If you accomplish this, there is really no need to meditate, because you are always meditating. You are constantly aware of your thoughts and it is through that awareness you can choose which details to focus on. If you only focus on happiness, The Law of Attraction has shown us time and again that the universe will continue to provide happiness. No matter what.

Ford, this is so beautifully put, and this is a realization I have come to lately. It is about finding and knowing your self-worth and having appreciation for all that is now. This has come up over and over and over in the past week. I was just writing about this and an experience I am having right now.
Today I found the most awesome Abe Quotes by chance on appreciation and then read what you wrote here again. Funny, I read it before, but it just TOTALLY RESONATED WITH ME, all that you said. So thanks! Funny how we attract exactly what we need exactly when we need it!
What I am finding as I study all the different concepts, theories, teachers, etc. is that when it comes down to the core message it is all the same. LOVE YOURSELF, KNOW THAT YOU ARE GOD AND BE HAPPY AND JOYFUL!
Okay, here's one of the Abe Quotes:
The fastest way to let what's in your Vibrational Escrow in?
Write this down!
Appreciate what IS!!!

When the student is ready the teacher will appear.
It works exactly like this form me too. I was first taught Zen about 4 years ago. I thought it was an interesting concept, but it just didn't resonate with me.
Then about a year ago I gained an interest in it again and wham!!! It was exactly what I knew to be true. The interesting part is I had to go through everything I went through to really appreciate the lesson of Zen.
REMEMBER ! The lessons of ultimate reality, LOA, and Spirituality in general can only be taught in progressive steps. Each step will always contradict the previous step. This is why you can't just skip around. Skipping steps cause too many issues with plausibility (the fundamental building block for belief), so you must learn how each step works by an on going process of elimination.

So, true, Ford, it is a step by step process, one unfolding and realization after the other. And once you have taken in the previous step, you are ready to move on and not until. This information just cannot be forced upon people, if they are not ready to hear it, they are not ready to hear it.
I have learned so much about taking quantum leaps lately; it's just not possible for some people and they need to get all this mind expanding stuff in increments. I'm glad we are around to give the increments!! People will hear will it when they are ready... and more and more are ready as THE GREAT AWAKENING unfolds. WHAT A GREAT TIME TO BE ALIVE!!!
Hey, see you here in Costa Rica in a couple of days, Ford. Soooo looking forward to it and to see what unfolds with the health spa!
