(this is off the top of my head so it may not follow a proper writing form..I tend to babble, but will do my best.)

as far back as I can remember I have wondered what makes people do the things that they do and act how they act. if asked in a question, the answer is simple. they are a sum of all off their experiences and what they have learned up to that point.(I figure)  I have come to this conclusion after learning about the mind and society over the years.

me personaly, I prefer intimate relationships where you know as much as possible about the person and can appreciate their experiences. when I was about 14years old I moved to new city and was befriended by a couple of the local kids. we got into trouble like kids do, but it was so much fun that I felt a great bond as time progressed, learning more about them and met their families. over the years I guess I could say I got spoiled on these rich relationships and it seemed to set a pattern for my relationships with friends. I turned into a great listener when meeting new people and wanted to learn as much as possible to be able to predict their future behaviour. this was futher amplified when serving in the military a girlfriend who was in college gave me her old psychology text book...

in my opinion, I would be a great "profiler"..but I like working with people versus against my them, so that wouldnt be exaclty my calling. I like to enrich the lives of others and help them gain ground in their lives so if I got to study people professionally, a shrink would be the job for me!

another life long passion has been pondering the world around us and places beyond. plus, I am kinda spiritual.(not religous)  this is what has brought me to this forum along with a friends recommendation.

:)

back to the study of the brain thing..I find it funny at times because I want to share so much about myself to better understand my own whys and whats yet often I find myself holding back.(thanks "patriot act") perhaps I should explain.. I like to maintain some privacy from strangers(google search engine) and being in the military I know better than to just go writing down random thoughts. I dont wanna sound crazy or be misunderstood. but, wrapped up in a nutshell I know that fear is not real and I dont have anything to worry about by blogging, commenting, and sharing with others on the net. old habits are hard to break as they say...(operation security)

anywheys, I guess the point in me writing would be the result of studying people, being spiritual, overcoming a discomfort maybe, or just some simple ramblings. so, I will end with this quote, "the crazy man doesnt know that he is insane, but someone with his sanity intact will always question his actions and thoughts."-SupaJay

ok i am curious why some people have bad things happen to them and use it to grow and do not act the victim but then you have someone else and they adopt the poor me attitude. i like knowing a lot about your friends and letting them know me the same way. Also I come from a HUGE family, there are ten of us 8 girls and 2 boys, i have one sister who is always in the hospital always has something wrong and it isn't in her head either ( although she does have a chairi malformation(bottom of brain) and a cholesteatoma (tumor in the ear) and will be getting surgery on her head) the other 7 of us girls are pretty healthy , so why her ? her medical records would fill 2 crates and the only time i have been in the hospital was to deliver my babies, I have my theory on it. I think in a past life she wasn't a nice person and it is catching up with her. what do you think?

Hi Jamie,

I used to believe in karma, but my feelings have changed about it.  I just can't believe anymore that we are punished for things in our past, in this life and in others.  It just doesn't make sense to me anymore.  When we die, we return to pure source energy, and we return that way too, slate clean.  Your sister is attracting that for some reason or another and only she can know that.

Here's a fun interaction with Abe that mentions karma:

Abe has conferred with the crowd about whether they
would rather have longer Q&A’s with fewer people or
shorter Q&A’s that would allow more people. After a
brief process, they’ve decided to go for shorter
Q&A’s:

Abe: Very good. Start there, yes. You’re on. Now
you hear what they want: succinct, clear, fast.

(There is a response away from the microphone,
followed by crowd laughter.)

Abe: Your time is up. (More laughter.)

Q: I’ve got a list.

Abe: What matters most?

Q: What matters most is changing and actually adding
on to my career in public-speaking/seminar
presentation of the business that I’m in. And I have
a such a huge desire to accomplish this, but almost
equally is this fear of failure. And....

Abe: Well, our encouragement to you is that you
think about what you do want, don’t think about what
you don’t want. Talk about what you do want, don’t
talk about what you don’t want. Tell everyone about
what you do want, tell no one about what you don’t
want. Make lists of the things that have worked,
don’t talk about the things that do not work. In
other words, just get on a sort of rampage of
appreciation. If you find yourself trying to do that
and not able to do that, then get off that topic
altogether and get onto something else.

The thing that we most want to hear is that you’ve
asked, the Universe has answered, now you’ve just got
to find a way to get the valve open.

Next? (Laughter from audience that goes on for a
while. Someone else takes the microphone.)

Q: My question is about karma.

Abe: There isn’t any.

Q: That’s (stops and laughs)....

Abe: Next. (Laughter from audience.) Back row....

Q: You said 'fate' one time. We're fated.

Abe: Say it again?

Q: You said we're fated. That we are fated. And
what did 'fated' mean? I connected that to karma.

Abe: Well, karma in the way most people mean it,
there isn’t any of that. Because....

Q: But 'so you reap,' karma, fate and all....

Abe: Well, there is that. In other words, what you
sow you do reap because Law of Attraction says that
which you offer vibrationally is that which you bring
back. But it does not pass on from lifetime to
lifetime to lifetime in the negative sense that people
mean because when you re-emerge into nonphysical, you
re-emerge into pure positive energy, and when you come
forth into your next incarnation, you come forth from
that place of pure positive energy.

Q: So all of that that I was taught as a child and
all this that I’ve been working through is all
bullshit?

Abe: Yes. (Laughter from audience.) Yes.

So when my sister in her younger days used to be a hypercondriac ( not sure how to spell that) and now that she is older everything that she pretended about could be causing her illness today?
so what about kids and cancer? or illness in general ?

Yes, Jamie, you totally called it!!  She totally created the illnesses by thinking about them!!!  I remember hearing a story about a man who was obsessed by a disease that only affect something like one person in a million or more.  He studied it, he worried about it and guess what?  He got it!!!  I have to look for that story because I want to use it in my book!!

My Uncle was so worried about falling and breaking his hips, and was soooo careful and sooooo worried and guess what?  He fell, broke his hips and actually ended up dying from complications.  We get what we worry about and think about, the good and the bad.  THE LAW OF ATTRACTION is absolute.

Regarding babies that have diseases or bad things happen to them, this is one of the hardest things to accept for people, how the LOA is at work for innocent babies.   This is what Abe says:

"Even your babies are offering vibrations that the Universe is matching.  And, like you, your little ones are influenced by the vibrations of those who surround them, but nevertheless, they are creating their own reality.  And like you, long before their physical birth, they set into motion this life experience they are now living."

There is a lot more to this, and I will look for other quotes that I have read, but can't seem to find quickly!!!

LOA..I tell ya, it is a truly great thing. when I first began to understand it, it completely made sense when I looked back on events in my life. and now that I seem to have some sort of understanding of it, when folks hit me with negativity...BOOOOM! I hit'em right back with a positivite attitude, "is that all ya got?! cuz I'm can take a whole lot more!" to be frank about it(and no, I am not callin' you Frank.lol), but when people get hit with positives that they dont wanna hear, they either understand it or are dumbfounded but the negativity stops dead in its tracks. of course I always try to explain to the best of my ability where I am coming from with this LOA and "happy go lucky" attitude.
another revelation that I have had..I used to think that for good things to happen and for me to be happy that I had to be an active part of an organized religion. I noticed how happy folks in the church seemed to be when they really believed.(fakers not included) but now it all seems to have fallen into place as far as understanding. they were just being paid back for their charity of heart. yeah stuff happens to everyone, but when you have the right outlook on life those things dont faze you like they would someone who dwells on the negatives..you simply take it for face value and understand that it happened and ya move on.

there are alotta things in the world that shouldnt be tolerated..and on the very top of my list is negative attitudes. I will take things at face only with a positive outlook and just wont entertain that sorta thing anymore.

:D
